摘要 An electro-optical apparatus, an electronic device, and a projector are provided to significantly increase the aperture ratio of pixel regions, thereby realizing downsizing and high definition of products, by forming a portion of a capacitor to be positioned within a concave portion of a substrate. A plurality of pixel regions are formed in a matrix type above a substrate. A pixel electrode is formed within each of the pixel regions. A switching element is electrically connected to the pixel electrode within the pixel region. A capacitor(17) is formed between the pixel regions to hold electrical charge on the pixel electrode. The capacitor includes a first storage electrode(17a), a second storage electrode(17b), and an insulating layer(17c). A data line(6a) and a gate line(3a) are formed for the switching element. A concave portion(10a) is formed on a surface of the substrate between pixel regions. At least a portion of the capacitor is formed within the concave portion.
