摘要 A method and a system for tracking a moving object of a robot are provided to move the robot in advance by estimating the time taken for the moving object to enter the work zone of the robot, and thus to perform work immediately upon entry of the moving object into the work zone. A system for tracking a moving object of a robot includes a moving object position detector; an encoder for detecting the transfer speed and moving distance of a conveyor; an initial position detection unit(110) for detecting the initial position of the moving object when a new object is detected; a relative moving distance detection unit(120) for receiving movement information of the conveyor from the encoder, and detecting the moving distance of the moving object; a moving speed detection unit(130) for detecting the moving speed of the moving object in accordance with the transfer speed of the conveyor detected by the encoder; a moving object position management unit(140) for updating the position information of the moving object in accordance with the moving distance information input from the relative moving distance detection unit, and managing the position value of the moving object; a status judging unit(150) for judging whether to start tracking of the moving object of the robot; and a robot operation control unit(160) for controlling operation of the robot by compensating the moving distance of the moving object input from the relative moving distance detection unit to the moving path of the robot.
