An oil supply apparatus for a linear compressor is provided to prevent defective oil supply due to foreign matters by installing a net type filter unit in a cup-shaped main body and filtering the foreign matters. An oil supply apparatus for a linear compressor comprises an oil supply flow path(12), an oil supply pipe(21) and a filtering unit(50). The oil supply flow path is formed inside the frame(3), and supplied with oil. The oil supply pipe has one end inserted into a mount groove formed inside the frame so as to be communicated with the oil supply flow path in axial direction, the other end immersed in a bottom surface of the shell(S), and supplies the oil. The filtering unit is installed on the other end of the oil supply pipe, and suctions only oil by filtering foreign matters contained in the oil.
