摘要 To provide a liquid droplet ejection method which can detect abnormality of a nozzle, an ejection head including a plurality of nozzles has, for the respective nozzles, a camera unit that images from the inside of a nozzle to its peripheral portion. A captured image processing unit converts the captured image into an image which can recognize at least one of a state of a meniscus inside the nozzle, the shape of a nozzle opening and states of surface films formed inside and outside the nozzle, and sends the converted image to a comparison determination unit. The comparison determination unit compares the converted image with a reference image which is previously stored in a determination condition storing unit. As a result, for an objective nozzle, the quality (nozzle abnormality) of ejection performance is determined.
