LIGHT EMITTING DIODES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A light emitting diode and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to suppress the shrinkage of a pixel and generation of a dark spot on a display by preventing permeation of moisture and gas into the light emitting diode. A light emitting diode includes a substrate(102), a pixel circuit part(P), a protection layer(104). A driving part is patterned on the substrate(102). The pixel circuit part(P) includes two electrodes and a light emitting part. The light emitting part is formed between the two electrodes and is composed of at least one charge injection/transport layer and a light emitting layer. The protection layer(104) is formed on the substrate(102) for protecting the pixel circuit part(P).
