A METHOD FOR ORGANIZING THE SOFTWARE OF A FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A method for organizing software of a fluid management system is provided to facilitate management/update of a processor system of the fluid management system, which is a medical treatment device for performing outside blood treatment such as blood dialysis or filtration. The software comprises treatment software(22) for controlling and monitoring the medical treatment of a patient, and tool software(26) for controlling and monitoring service and/or generation activities. The treatment software is stored to the processor system(10) as the resident software and the tool software is stored to the processor system as the non-resident software. The non-resident software includes the software for updating the resident software. An external data storage device(40) is connected to the processor system and loads the non-resident software to the processor system. The processor system transmits information for the software and data stored in the external data storage device.
