LIGHT GUIDE PANEL AND DISPLAY EMPLOYING THE SAME

A light guiding plate and a display device adopting the same are provided to reduce an area of a screen rendered useless due to dark portions, thereby downsizing the display device, by forming the light guiding plate to have a dark portion reducing part so as to reduce the distance between a light source and the light guiding panel. An incidence surface(102) faces a plurality of light sources disposed at a predetermined distance. Dark portion reducing parts(105) are formed on the incidence surface, wherein the dark portion reducing parts are positioned between light sources and at both corners of the incidence surface. The dark portion reducing parts reflect light, which is incident through the incidence surface, to suppress the generation of dark portions. An upper surface(109) transmits a part of an incident light and reflects the other part of the light. A lower surface(107) faces the upper surface to reflect the light incident through the incidence surface and the dark portion reducing parts.
