A brake pad of a caliper brake for a vehicle is provided to reduce the frictional coefficient of the brake pad by coating a slide surface of a back plate with a plastic. A brake pad of a caliper brake for a vehicle includes a back plate(10). Protrusions(11) are formed on both sides of the back plate. A slide surface of the back plate may be coated with a plastic. The slide surface of the back plate may also be specially coated with a solid lubricant film. A contact surface of a spring pad which makes contact with the slide surface of the back plate may be coated with a plastic. The contact surface of the spring pad which makes contact with the slide surface of the back plate may be specially coated with a solid lubricant film.
