A semi-transmissive type LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to suppress the reflection in a reflective mode, thereby preventing a flash phenomenon and improving the readability, by forming a reflective electrode having hillocks in a reflective part. An insulating substrate(1) has a switching part(A), a transmissive part(B), and a reflective part(C). A thin film transistor is formed in the switching part. A transparent pixel electrode(13) is formed in the transmissive part, wherein the transparent pixel electrode is electrically connected to the thin film transistor. A reflective electrode(10) is formed in the reflective part, wherein the reflective electrode includes an aluminum layer. Hillocks are formed on a surface of the aluminum layer. |
