A main body cover for a linear compressor is provided to support suction damping springs more stably by allowing a spring support part to support the suction damping springs, and to easily manufacture by omitting a conventional removal process of unnecessary parts. A main body cover(90) for a linear compressor comprises a spring support part(92), a connection part(94), a combination part(96), and mass parts(98a, 98b). The spring support part is located to be horizontal to a motor cover, supports springs, and has plate shape. The connection part makes the spring support part having lower and upper bent ends to maintain predetermined distance from the motor. The combination part is connected to the connection part, and fixed horizontally to the motor cover. The mass part is formed on both ends of the spring support part so as to be extended, and provides mass.
