A battery appliance is provided to stop the battery function when an exhaust valve is actuated, and thus improves safety in a state such as overdischarge, etc. The battery appliance is equipped with one or many batteries, wherein the battery has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and an electrolytic solution in a battery case(23). The battery comprises an exhaust valve(27) to be opened by a pressure increase within the battery case(23), and is arranged to place the exhaust valve(27) at the lower part of the battery appliance when mounted on the battery appliance. The exhaust valve(27) has an operation pressure of 50-250kPa.
