An infrared receiving device capable of conducting variable carrier frequency control is provided to set/change to/into another carrier frequency without exchanging an infrared receiving module or a receiving control component, thereby avoiding remote control disability of a particular carrier frequency and receive sensitivity deterioration. An infrared detector(110) converts a received infrared signal into a current type, and outputs the converted current. An AGC(Automatic Gain Control) unit(120) controls strength of a signal inputted from the detector to output the controlled signal. A band pass filter(130) receives the signal inputted from the AGC unit, and outputs the signal by removing the rest of components except carrier frequency components. A demodulator(140) digitally converts a carrier frequency signal outputted from the filter, and outputs the converted signal. A controller(150) receives a carrier frequency change command inputted from an external control terminal, controls the filter to perform a band pass function based on a carrier frequency as a central frequency, and controls the demodulator to demodulate the inputted signal based on the carrier frequency as the central frequency.
