SUCTION MUFFLER FOR LINEAR COMPRESSOR

A suction muffler for a linear compressor is provided to prevent refrigerant suction efficiency from being degraded by resistance increase due to swirl flow generated when suctioning the refrigerant. A suction muffler for a linear compressor comprises a shell, a piston(54) and a first muffler part(40). The shell is provided with an inflow pipe and a flow-out pipe. The piston linearly reciprocates in the inside of a cylinder(52) installed inside the shell, suctions refrigerant into formed compression space, and compresses and discharges refrigerant. The first muffler part is installed between the shell and the piston so as to suction the refrigerant flowed from the inflow pipe, and is formed in the inflow pipe so as to allow flow section area of the refrigerant to gradually become narrower.
