A remote noxious gas detector is provided to exactly measure the gas density by detecting gas at a position away from a gas detection part using a multi-stage extension pipe. A remote noxious gas detector includes a multi-stage extension pipe, a flexible hose(120), a suction pump(130), and a detecting unit(140). A gas suction port for inhaling noxious gas is formed at the front end of the multi-stage extension pipe. The gas suction port is connected to a front end of the flexible hose. The flexible hose is wound around a hose drum(125). The suction pump communicates with another end of the flexible hose and inhales external air and the noxious gas by force. The detecting unit is connected to a discharge port of the suction pump through a connection pipe, and detects the noxious gas included in the external air to measure a density of the noxious gas.
