PIERICIDIN A1 WITH COMPETITIVE INHIBITORY ACTIVITY OF ACYL HOMOSERINE LACTONE

摘要

A substance, piericidin A1, having competitive inhibitory activity of acyl homoserine lactone is provided to block the quorum sensing of plant pathogenic bacteria or fungi by inhibiting activity of acyl homoserine lactone as a signal material of quorum sensing. A composition for inhibiting plant disease comprises the substance, piericidin A1, having competitive inhibitory activity of acyl homoserine lactone, represented by the formula(1) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an effective ingredient, wherein the plant disease is caused by infection of Erwinia carotovora or Agrobacterium tumefaciens; and the piericidin A1 is produced by Kitasatospora sp. AR030054(KCTC10904BP).
