A cold storage system and a method of the same are provided to increase use of alternative energy by sending excess electricity of solar light generator to an electric power system. A cold storage system and a method of the same include a solar generation device(100), an electric power system(200), and a refrigerating device(300). The solar generation device includes a solar cell(110), a magnetic switch(120), a two-quadrant chopper(130), and a storage battery(140). The solar cell converts light energy into electric energy. The magnetic switch turns on or off the electric power supplied into the refrigerating device. The two-quadrant chopper charges and discharges the storage battery by receiving the electric energy from the solar cell. The storage battery charges and discharges the electric energy of the solar cell.
