A scour prevention block is provided to prevent the occurrence of buckling on a riverbed and to prevent the loss of a soil layer by making construction simple and coupling with other blocks with strong binding strength. The scour prevention block(10) is installed around a pier of a bridge to prevent the loss of a soil layer and provided with many projecting pieces(2) and a circular groove(1) on the top of a block body, long grooves(3) on the side of the block body, and four support members on the base of the block body. The projecting pieces are formed in the shape of boulder stone to take visual effect such as native rock and to provide a habitat and a refuge for various fishes and insects through a space between the projecting pieces, the circular groove is formed to supply a space for inhabitation or vegetation of various animals and plants and to guide flowing water smoothly, and the long grooves are formed to have one complete round shape by coupling with other block to use as a space for placing and curing concrete. |
