The shape of the top side (7) of the hood (1) and the provision of air guiding wings (5) on the spray arms (3) combine to generate an underpressure directly behind the nozzles, which sucks in the cleaning fluid after it has come into contact with the surface being cleaned. The fluid and entrained debris are removed by the spray arm. The hood contains externally-driven rotating nozzle arms with nozzles (4) at either end which are connected to a source of cleaning fluid under high pressure.
