The present invention refers to a thermal floor mat for providing heat to piglets, so as to prevent them from dying due to cold temperatures or pressed by their mother, thus maintaining a room temperature of from about 30 degree C to about 50 degree C. The mat is based on a heating resistance using a basic power consumption of 60 watts, thereby reducing up to fifty percent the energy consumption compared to the state-of-the-art heaters currently available on the market. The inventive mat includes 7 different-material layers, which provide a high durability, and a low production and operation cost to the product, as well as ease of handling, transporting and cleaning characteristics.
