984,408. Shoe-cleaning machines. F. M. HERRMANN. Sept. 3, 1963 [Sept. 5, 1962], No. 34796/63. Heading A4F. In a shoe-cleaning machine comprising a ring 20 having internal cleaning elements 9 and rotated by a roller 21, and at least three rollers 11, 12, 13 for guiding the ring externally, the roller 11 is removable from its guiding position to permit removal of the ring 20 when so desired. The roller 11 is mounted on a pivoted lever 17 which is turned clockwise manually against the action of a spring 19 to disengage the roller 11 from the ring 10, and at the same time to open a switch 27 to de-energize the driving motor of the machine. In an alternative embodiment the displaceable roller is beneath the ring 10. |
