A call service method of a mobile terminal and the mobile terminal are provided to maintain a call state so long as field strength is secured in case of a call failure. A field strength detecting unit detects a reception field strength during voice call communication after a call is established. A determining unit compares the detected field strength with a pre-set field strength to check whether the detected field strength is smaller than the pre-set field strength. When the detected field strength is smaller than the pre-set field strength, a voice recognition processing unit recognizes voice data inputted by a user and converts it into text data.
