<p>A communications plug includes: a mounting substrate (60); a plurality of pairsof output terminals (34-38) attached to the mounting substrate; and first (1),second (2), third (3) and fourth (4) pairs of conductors. The first, second andfourth pairs of the output terminals are arranged in immediately adjacent relationship,and a third pair (36) of output terminals includes output terminals (36a, 36b)that are separated from each other such that a first output terminal (36a) of thethird pair is positioned between the first (32) and second (34) pairs of outputterminals, and such that a second output terminal (36a) of the third pair is positionedbetween the first and fourth (38) pairs of output terminals. Each of the first,second, third and fourth pairs of conductors is attached for electrical communicationwith a respective one of the output terminals. The third pair of conductors hasat least two locations (45) in which the conductors of the pair cross each other,and is arranged such that, between the crossover locations, the third pair ofconductors forms an expanded loop (48) that brings segments (50a, 50b) of thethird conductor into closer proximity to the second and fourth pairs of conductorsthan to the first pair of conductors.</p> |
