<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The seat (S) has a base with a cut defining a part (5) and a base edge (6) moved around a pivoting axle between rest and work positions. The cut defines faces (51, 61) which are plated one against the other in the rest position such that the edge and the part form the base. The edge is pivoted around the axle in the work position such that an upper face (62) of the edge forms an angle (alpha) of 0-90 degrees with an upper face (52) of the part. The faces (51, 61) are not in contact with each other, and the edge extends above the front of the seat. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Seat e.g. driver seat, rear seat and front passenger seat, for motor vehicle (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The base edge can be moved to the rest position or the work position in order to ensure maintenance and support functions for thigh and knee of a user occupying the seat or to ensure a support function for the calf of the user, thus permitting to realize a calf-resting device for the seat.
