FIELD: refractory industry, in particular, production of refractory for lining of aluminum melting furnaces. ^ SUBSTANCE: mullite corundum refractory is produced from refractory mass containing, wt%: corundum 79-88; refractory clay 1-4; orthophosphoric acid 5-7; and barite concentrate with sulfuric barium content of at least 85% 6-10. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency owing to inertness of refractory to aluminum melt and infiltration stability, increased mechanical strength and ecological safety. ^ 1 tbl
