FIELD: metallurgy; extraction of nickel, cobalt and associated metals from solutions obtained at alkali leaching of oxidized (lateritic) ores; production of nickel, cobalt, manganese and magnesium from these solutions. ^ SUBSTANCE: starting solution is neutralized to pH=5.0-5.5 by magnesium carbonate or oxide for precipitation of iron and aluminum and pulp thus obtained is thickened. Nickel and cobalt are sorbed from overflow of thickening agent and thickened pulp; solution is separated from sediment in thickened portion of pulp and is combined with overflow cleaned from nickel and cobalt, after which manganese and magnesium are separated from combined solution. ^ EFFECT: reduced losses of resin; facilitated procedure of extraction of nickel and magnesium. ^ 2 tbl |
