<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, more particularly, an in-cell type liquid crystal display device for restricting a side viewing angle. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has unit pixels each comprising first to third color displaying sub-pixels and first to third viewing angle restricting sub-pixels corresponding to the first to third color displaying sub-pixels, in which the first to third viewing angle restricting sub-pixels in the unit pixel are driven in a substantially identical gray level over the liquid crystal display device so as to compensate luminance in a viewing angle direction and effectively restrict the side viewing angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
