PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rust preventive treatment for restraining rusting in a boundary of a metallic plating film, while forming the metallic plating film only on a stud, in the ball stud. SOLUTION: This ball stud 1 has a ball 11 on one end of the substantially bar-shaped stud 12. The ball stud 1 forms a trivalent chromate film 5 over a surface of the metallic plating film 4 formed on the stud 12 and a surface of the ball 11. When a male screw part 14 is arranged in the stud 12, a surface of this male screw part 14 is covered with the metallic plating film 4 and the trivalent chromate film 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
