PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer assisting device for efficiently and smoothly performing work for transferring stacked sheets to a stacked sheet transfer intending portion without messing the stacked sheets aligned and stacked on the transfer intending portion while assisting the transfer of the stacked sheets to relieve a worker of his physical labor. SOLUTION: The transfer assisting device comprises a guide table 5 consisting of a fixed plate 10 on the upper face of which a passage starting sensor 14 is provided, and an inclined plate 11 which is turnably connected to the fixed plate 10 at the side of the transfer intending portion, and a clamp table 6 arranged abutting on the lower face of the inclined plate 11 so as to be protrudingly slidable in the horizontal direction and inclinable to the side of a sheet residing plate 34 and having a passage finishing sensor 19 on the upper face. With the sensing operation of the passage starting sensor 14, the clamp table 6 is protrudingly slid and inclined to the side of the sheet residing plate 34 to thrust the stacked sheets 2 on the sheet residing plate 34 at the front end. With the sensing operation of the passage finishing sensor 19, the thrust of the stacked sheets 2 is cancelled and the clamp table 6 can be moved and reset to the original position.
