[PROBLEMS] To provide a security gate system and a security gate control method capable of accurately inspecting an inspection object in a short time. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A security gate system includes: a main path (2); a mass analyzer (3) for analyzing a sample (such as a ticket) acquired from an inspection object (such as a user of an airport) moving in the main path (2); at least one branched path (10) branched from the main path (2) at the downstream side of the movement of the inspection object than the sample acquisition position; gates (a first gate (5), a second gate (6)) arranged at the branching point of the branched path (10) for switching the flow of the inspection object; and a control device (20) for controlling the switching of the gates (5, 6) according to the analysis result of the mass analyzer (3).
