PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording material support having excellent planarity and glossiness and stable good rigidity, a method for producing the image recording material support, and an image recording material.

SOLUTION: The image recording material support contains a paper containing at least a pulp, wherein the content ratio of long fiber pulp having a fiber length of ≥0.7 mm in the paper relative to the entire pulp content is ≤20%, preferably ≤15%. The method for producing the image recording material support and the image recording material using the image recording material support are also provided.
