<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a pocket type hydrogen storage alloy electrode in which a briquette, thin and easy to compression form and improved in current collection property, is manufactured from a hydrogen storage alloy powder and a conductive material powder, and by filling it into a porous metal container, utilization efficiency of the hydrogen storage alloy is improved with increased capacity density and with low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This is the method of manufacturing the pocket type hydrogen storage alloy electrode in which a mixed powder made by blending and mixing the hydrogen storage alloy powder and the conductive material powder is compressed to form the briquette and, after filling the briquette into a porous metal pocket, it is pressurized and the pocket is crimped to the briquette. As the conductive material powder, a filament shape conductive material powder connected in chain-shape is used as a powder, and the blending ratio of the conductive material powder in the mixed powder is made 15-50 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
