<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform synthesis of musical sound without the occurrence of a delay in the musical sound in a connection section. <P>SOLUTION: In the waveform data in the connection section where at least the two notes produced in tandem are connected, the waveforms of at least two continuous tones are divided at the point where the front note and the back note change over and the waveforms consisting of the waveforms after the division, i.e. the waveforms after the change over of the tones in the absence of the waveforms before the change over of the tones are stored. At the time the continuous sound to connect the two tones according to the acquired playing information is ought to be produced, the waveform data of the connection section is acquired and the musical sound waveforms formed by connecting the waveforms of the two tones to each other are formed. Then, the waveform data is read from a post-note portion without reading the waveform data relating to a pre-note portion and therefore, the time required for transition from the front note to the back note can be shortened. Accordingly, the musical sound can be synthesized with high quality without the occurrence of the delay in the sound production of the back note in the connection section for connecting the tones to each other without interruption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
