<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and a method which easily designates a range of a print target during preparing a document and improves a usability and a productivity thereby. <P>SOLUTION: A setting user interface screen 1500 is displayed by a print setting menu, a desired unit is selected from a print target column 1502, and the range is designated with the selected unit. The designated range is printed including an original page within the designated range and another original page to be printed on the same paper as that of the original page together thereby.
