PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized oscillator capable of adjusting an oscillation frequency to a desired value. SOLUTION: An oscillator 10 comprises: a magneto-resistance effect element 18 in which a pin layer 12, a non-magnetic spacer layer 14 and a free layer 16 of which a magnetization direction is variable are laminated in this order and the magnetization direction of the pin layer 12 is substantially fixed in one direction vertical to the direction of lamination; a bias magnetic field applier 20 for applying a bias magnetic field in a direction vertical to the direction of lamination and different from the magnetization direction of the pin layer 12 to the free layer 16; and a magnetic field applier 22 for adjustment for applying a magnetic field for adjustment in a direction vertical to the direction of lamination and different from the direction of the bias magnetic field to the free layer 16.
