PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geometric processing processor capable of processing geometric operation at high speed. SOLUTION: The geometric processing processor includes an AGP port 80 connected to a host processor, an input FIFO 98 connected to the AGP port 80, a geometric operation core 70 for processing instructions supplied from the host processor via the AGP port and the input FIFO 98, and second local memories 104, 130-136 connected to operation units 106, 138-144 included in the geometric operation core 70. The content of the input FIFO 98 supplied from the host processor is duplicated to the local memories 104, 130-136. The geometric operation core 70 is operated according to the contents of the local memories 104, 130-136. In parallel with the operation of the geometric operation core 70 according to the contents of the local memories 104, 130-136, communication between the host processor and the AGP port 80 is performed.
