PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decline in productivity and deviation of a sheet bundle, even if a stitching means is moved to a stitching position and interferes with a butting member. SOLUTION: In a sheet processing device provided with a rear end fence 27 on which end parts of sheet-shaped recording media carried in abut to align the recording media and with a stapler unit 5 for stitching the sheet bundle aligned by the rear end fence 27, a rotating shaft 63a swingably supporting the rear end fence 27 is positioned above the stapler unit 5, and a portion of the rear end fence 27 positioned below the rotating shaft 63a is formed to have a shape so as not to inhibit movement of the stapler unit 5.
