<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproduction system capable of displaying a video significant to a user even while a recording medium is not reproduced. <P>SOLUTION: The video reproduction system is composed of: a disk player 1; and at least one content providing server 4 connected to the disk player 1 via a communication network 3. The content providing server 4 stores a plurality of contents and content list information for specifying each content from among the plurality of contents, downloads the content list information from the content providing server 4 when the disk player 1 shifts to a standby mode in which it stands by in disk reproduction while a power source is switched on, specifies one content on the basis of the content list information, downloads the specified content from the content providing server 4, reproduces the content during the period of standby mode, and displays it to a display 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
