PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image processing method capable of high-speed processing of a moving image at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the moving image processing method, all frames of a moving image are received, each frame is divided into a plurality of macro blocks, one macro block in a present frame is defined as a comparing block, SAD operation is performed by a pixel in the comparing block and a pixel in one macro block in one search window existing in the preceding frame to obtain an SAD critical value. Then the SAD operation is performed by a pixel in the comparing block and a pixel in a macro block which is not applied to the preceding SAD operation to obtain an accumulated value of a plurality of SAD values, and when the accumulated value of the SAD values is equal to or more than the SAD critical value, the SAD operation is immediately stopped.
