PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical umbrella for reverse closing, which is structured to move smoothly when closing. SOLUTION: The umbrella 1 for reverse closing comprises an umbrella part 3 and a main shaft 5. The umbrella part 3 is provided with an umbrella part open/close driving part 10 having a slider shaft 11 and a cylinder shaft 14, which are externally fitted and running on the main shaft 5. Main ribs 12 are pivoted at one end at a first slider part 113 of the slider shaft 11, while stretchers 15 are pivoted at one end at a second slider part 141 of the cylinder shaft 14. The stretchers 15 are connected to the central portions of the main ribs 12 by hinges. Also, the main shaft 5 is provided with a stopper hook 18, and the umbrella 1 is opened by pushing up the slider shaft 11 after the second slider part 141 of the cylinder shaft 14 is made to abut on the stopper hook 18. When the umbrella 1 is closed, one end of a waterproof cloth 13 is housed in a cloth storage cylinder 142. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
