Laminated textile filter fabric has at least a textile carrier layer and a 0.2-10 mm thick activated carbon layer and also contains cyclo-dextrine. Independent claims are included for protective clothing containing carbon and cyclo-dextrine padded filter fabric. The cyclo-dextrine may be any 6,7 or 8 chain compound of alpha -, beta - or gamma - 1,4 glucose units, and may be presented separately or in admixture with the activated carbon. Preferably the activated carbon contains 5-50% by weight of cyclo-dextrine (claimed). Activated carbon of specific area 900-1200m2> /g is preferred .
