<p>Diraromatic amine derivatives having the general formula: (I) wherein n is from 0 to 5; m is from 0 to 4; each R substituent is independently hydrogen or a straight or branched C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>32</SUB> alkyl group or alkenyl group or two R substituents together with the carbon atom to which they are bonded are joined together to form an unsaturated, partially saturated or saturated C<SUB>3</SUB>-C<SUB>30</SUB> ring structure optionally containing one or more heteroatoms, each R<SUP>1</SUP> substituent is independently hydrogen or a straight or branched C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>32</SUB> alkyl group or alkenyl group and R<SUP>2</SUP>, R<SUP>3</SUP>, R<SUP>4</SUP>, R<SUP>5</SUP>, R<SUP>6</SUP> and R<SUP>7</SUP> are independently hydrogen or a straight or branched C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>32</SUB> alkyl group or alkenyl group optionally containing a functional group are provided. Also provided are lubricating oil compositions containing the diraromatic amine derivatives.</p> |
