PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormal temperature change with detection sensitivity corresponding to the environment of a detection region, so as to notify risk of a fire or the like. SOLUTION: This abnormal temperature detection device is provided with: a temperature detection part for detecting temperature change in a detection region based on a detection signal to be outputted from an infrared detection element; a control part for deciding whether or not a body(traveling living being) has been detected in the detection region based on an output signal from the temperature detection part, and for deciding whether or not abnormal temperature change leading to the risk of the occurrence of a fire has been detected, and for controlling warning issue from an output part based on the decision result; and a warning switch for controlling the setting/release of the intrusion warning of the detection region. Intrusion and abnormal temperature are detected/warned with detection sensitivity corresponding to the environment of the detection region in the first processing process of TPH detection under unmanned conditions in the case of releasing warning, the second processing process of TPH detection under manned conditions in the case of releasing warning, the third processing process of TPH detection under unmanned conditions in the case of setting warning, and the fourth processing process of TPH detection under manned conditions in the case of setting warning.
