PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera equipped with a display means on its back which is compatible in both portability and stable gripping performance, and protected in the display means being without impairing operability. SOLUTION: A camera body 11 of the digital camera 10 is fixed with a grip 13 formed in a flat rectangular parallelepiped shape through a pair of arms 16 which are formed one over the other. Each of the arms 16 has one end pivoted to a hinge 17 formed at the right end of the camera body 11 and also has the other end pivoted to a hinge 18 formed at the end of the grip 13. Consequently, the arms 16 and grip 13 become able to rotate with vertical directions of the camera body 11 as axes. The grip 13 rotates with the hinges 17 and 18 as axes to make a side face S1 where an operation part 32 is formed abut against the back of the camera body 11, thereby protecting an LCD 30.
