<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-activity catalyst which is used for producing a hydrocarbon consisting mainly of propane or butane, namely, liquefied petroleum gas by allowing carbon monoxide to react with hydrogen , with high selectivity at high yield, the lifetime of which is made long and which is hardly degraded. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for producing liquefied petroleum gas contains a methanol synthesis catalyst component and a zeolite catalyst component.
