PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organometallic complex making the variation of the organometallic complex capable of phosphorescent light-emitting as rich, and also having a sharp light-emission spectrum and high light-emission efficiency, further, a light-emitting element rich in variation of emitted light colors by preparing the light-emitting elements using the organometallic complex, and also the light-emitting element having a high color purity and high light-emitting efficiency. SOLUTION: This organometallic complex having a structure expressed by general formula (G1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is any of a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy or a 1-5C alkoxycarbonyl; R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>are each any of H or a 1-4C alkyl; Ar is a 6-25C arylene; and M is a central metal and any of 9th group or 10th group element] is synthesized and applied for the light-emitting element.
