PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local bone growth promoter, and to provide a kit for promoting local bone growth. SOLUTION: The local bone growth promoter comprises, as active ingredient, a cytotrophic factor, being intended for stretching one's legs. This promoter is characterized in being locally administered(preferably continuously) to the bone. This promoter is to be continuously locally injected directly into an epiphysis. This promoter is a medicament for stretching human legs to treat diseases with different leg lengths selected from the group consisting of limb length deficiency and scoliosis. The limb length deficiency is such as to be seen in the childhood. This promoter is also a medicament for stretching one's legs in the cosmetic surgery. The kit for promoting local bone growth is also provided, being intended for administering a relevant injection into an epiphysis, and comprising an injection needle for directly injecting the medicament into an epiphysis, fixing the needle tip onto the osteoepiphysis and a pump for sustainedly injecting the medicament into the epiphysis, wherein the injection needle is in the form of fixing the needle tip onto an epiphysis. In this kit, the pump is to be used in vitro or in vivo, and the cytotrophic factor is a bone growth factor selected from the group consisting of growth hormone, somatomedin C and fibroblast growth factor.
