Method and device for blow molding containers

Disclosed are a method and a device for blow molding containers ( 2 ). A parison ( 1 ) is stretched by means of a stretching rod ( 11 ) within a blow mold ( 4 ) and molded into the container by applying blow pressure following thermal conditioning. The pressurized gas is introduced into the container ( 2 ) via at least two different flow paths ( 55, 56 ). Advantageously, one of the flow paths ( 56 ) ends near the orifice area ( 21 ) while a second now path ( 55 ) ends near a container bottom ( 51 ). At least some of the pressurized gas is introduced into the container ( 2 ) through the stretching rod ( 11 ).
