摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new lipase and to provide a gene encoding the lipase. <P>SOLUTION: The new lipase is produced by a bacterium of the genus Tetrasphaera and has about 32 kDa molecular weight. A gene has a specific sequence encoding the lipase. Furthermore, the lipase can be recognized with a medium-chain fatty acid as a substrate. Furthermore, the new lipase is produced by the bacterium belonging to the genus Tetrasphaera, can be recognized by using the medium-chain or a long-chain fatty acid as the substrate and has about 40 kDa molecular weight. Furthermore, a polynucleotide has a specific sequence encoding the lipase. In addition, an NITE P-154 strain of the bacterium belonging to the genus Tetrasphaera is provided. The lipase can be used as an immobilized enzyme and is useful in the fields such as the production of a digestant or a flavoring agent, the production of a clinical testing reagent, an enzyme for detergents or an oil and fat and the production of an optically active intermediate for agrochemicals or pharmaceuticals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
