<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite component of excellent magnetic characteristics which is suitable for arrangement on a part having a complex shape. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite component comprises a ferrite baked plate F1, and a first protection layer that covers a first main surface 10 of the ferrite baked plate. A plurality of recesses 14 are formed on the second main surface 12 of the ferrite baked plate F1. The recesses 14 are intermittently arrayed on a virtual line, in other words, a grid pattern. Since the thickness of the ferrite baked plate F1 decreases at the recesses 14, a stress is conveyed through the recesses 14 to cause cracking when it is applied to the ferrite-baked plate F1. So, a cracking can be made on the line corresponding to the shape of an electronic component among the lines forming a grid pattern. Cracking is hard to occur between the recesses 14 and 14 since that portion of the ferrite-baked plate F1 is thicker than the formation place of the recess 14.
