<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle system for a delivery catheter for deploying a prosthetic implant. <P>SOLUTION: A handle system 10 includes: a first stationary portion 12; at least one guide rail 28, 30 which is fixed to the first stationary portion 12 and extends longitudinally with the handle system 10; and a cylindrical second rotating portion 14 which is rotatably connected to the first stationary portion 12. A sheath mount 22 is fixed to an outer sheath 24 of the delivery catheter, and includes one or more bearing surfaces 238, 240 to be engaged with at least one of the one or more guide rails 28, 30. When the second rotating portion 14 is rotated, the sheath mount is longitudinally displaced 22 by interaction with the sheath mount 22.
